Platform accountability

Have you ever heard the expression "fake it till you make it"? The idiom suggests that one will eventually become what they lack the ability to perform. That somehow if one can just pretend long enough, the stars will align properly, the moon will rise at the right time and suddenly as if by a miracle they will conform to that which is sought. The effect is the person artificially alters their personality in the hope of a permanent alteration into the desired outcome.

This becomes problematic when the person "faking it" is filling a pulpit.

In day 3 of what I see in 2018, I want to speak directly to platform ministers and those who desire platform ministry. By definition, lets consider platform ministers those who preach/teach/share/minister the gospel of Jesus in a public way to groups of people. As you read this blog, please remember James Chapter 3. "My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we will receive a stricter judgement". Many of us love to teach about the kingdom. Let's do so with a heightened awareness of the awesome responsibility.

Why? Because the authority is in the truth. The crowds were amazed at Jesus teaching because "He taught as one who had authority". He taught as one with authority because He did have authority; because He lived the truths He taught. I believe we also teach as one who has authority as we live the truths we teach.

In 2018, I sense the Godhead is poised to release increase of favor and demonstrated signs and wonders (tomorrows blog) that will closely follow the uptick in maturity of the bride (yesterdays blog). The Godhead has an intense love for His bride. As His mouthpiece, we have an obligation to represent Him correctly in word and deed. Character counts and it's the little things. Outbursts of anger, course talk, financial mismanagement, harboring offense, laziness and other tolerated character issues will be increasingly challenged by Him in 2018. He will fulfill our promised "predestination to be conformed to the image of His Son" through our heart posture and renewing of our minds.

My friends I sense this is the beginning of a global leadership alignment. I believe we are on the verge of a new reformation (more on that later) that will require new approaches to leadership. A leadership worthy of the amazing bride we are anointed to lead.

Let's all agree to this prayer:

Father, I want to lead well and represent you well. I give you permission to reveal to me any character issues that don't demonstrate your heart. Lord thank you for your beautiful bride, of which I am one. Glorify yourself through us and in the name of your Son and our friend Jesus. We love you and trust you.

You are awesome leaders. Thank you for considering this word.
